In cooperation with the Mission Statement of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) a team of the politikfabrik organised a simulation of the G8 summit in the run-up of the meeting in Heiligendamm in June 2007. The team organised a conference for students from allover the world to discuss the main topics globalisation and world politics and find new fresh ideas for important problems. The Model G8 Youth Summit took place from 26th april to 2nd  may 2007  in the Hertie school of governance in Berlin.

In 2007 the Politikfabrik organised a first test of the new ‘T-community’ a platform developed by the T-Com, before its presentation at the CeBit. A team of the Politikfabrik collected opinions of citizens of Potsdam and afterwards submitted them to local politicians for their reactions. Afterwards the data was collected and published on the community-platform. The aim of this project was to show a new possibility of communication between citizens, administration and politicians.
