stadt.land.plus Turkey

It’s time again! Our project „stadt.land.plus“ is starting again by sending youngsters to Turkey!

The concept remains the same: a group of 15 young Germans is going to be on a 2-week trip throughout Turkey and thereby explore the country’s society and its fascinating culture. As in our previous projects eu_checker Bulgaria and Romania 2007 and stadt.land.plus Ukraine 2008 all gathered information and impressions are going to be posted online on a daily basis.

Deine Verfassung

In cooperation with the “Landeszentrale für politische Bildungsarbeit Berlin”, the “Politikfabrik”, a student agency for political communication, is appealing to young students from Berlin of 14 up to 18 years from Haupt-, Real-, Gesamtschulen as well as Gymnasien, to bring in their own ideas and wishes for the future of Berlin. Together, young students are supposed to focus clearly on the first 19 articles of our Grundgesetz. Regarding those articles they develop ideas which will be realized by themselves during a two-days-workshop. What is your future image of Berlin? What suggestions for improvement, wishes and thoughts do you have? In what kind of way can democracy be shaped, maybe in an unconventional way? And what kind of role do you want to play?

The aim is: getting young voters enthusiastic about the European election, experiencing the own vote in a playful way and debating with European delegates – to achieve a greater election turnout (voter participation) of young people on the 7th of July 2009.

In May 2009, prior to the European election the EURO WAHL GANG tours across Germany. In at least 80 towns it reaches more than 40,000 students as well as European delegates and candidates, teachers and parents.
